A bilby is a master digger & tunnel creator. Typically a bilby will have up to a dozen tunnels built within its home range that it uses for shelter and as a refuge from predators. Since it is a marsupial, the female bilby has a backward facing pouch which prevents dirt from getting inside when she is digging.
Did I mention that I loooove bilbyssss? XD

There is just something about the Antipodes, they have all these wierd creatures that are found nowhere else on this earth.
I have not visited Australia nor New Zealand but hope to do so.

Carly, if I was 5 years younger you would not be safe at your keyboard! I have to be strong however, and control my urges to import some Bilbys and start a colony on Corfu - I bet the climate is just right. (You could visit, LadyG - you helped me be more polite and that)
