Snooping around on Zooillogix I came across this wonderfully bizarre critter. Did you know that blue earthworms existed?! Not sure what I would do if I was poking around in my garden and saw that thing. I would probably think that there was some sort of radioactive substance in my lawn which would prompt my sister, who is afraid of life itself, to start worrying about the side effects that she will then develop.
Basically, I'm glad this thing is only found in the Eastern Hemisphere. Good luck to everyone living there!

OK, if my friend's son saw that, he'd totally eat it. Looks WAY too suspiciously like a Gummi Worm. Bleh!
just what i was gonna say...same as tricia...looks like one of the gummy worms my boys used to eat!
we have used these chartreuse (glow in the dark???) worms for fishing. tey sell them in some bait stores! i always thought they must add something to their diet to make them that odd color! like they do with carnations??!
strange and weirdly wonderful!!! love your stuff!
That's not an earth worm. It's a cecilian. There are a few species, and all of them are blind, worm eating members of the amphibian family. They also come in bright orange. I can get references if you want
