Habitat: tropical forests of Central & South America

The bush dog is one of the rarest canid species on Earth. Even though it has a wide range, spanning from Panama through Brazil & Bolivia, it is hardly ever spotted in the wild. The little bush dog was first found as fossil remains in a cave in Brazil and was though to be extinct! Lucky for us, it's not.

They have webbed feet which make them great swimmers and they live in packs of up to ten individuals. Bush dogs mark their territory with urine; males in the usual manner, but females balance on their front legs - like a doggy handstand! You go girl.

I posted a link to your blog on a Linked In discussion this morning regarding focused blogs (on one particular topic) - yours is such a great example of being a singular topic and still being interesting and engaging! :) Hope it steers more traffic your way.
