    Habitat: Australia

This is an East Coast Free-tailed bat with a face only a mother could love. Free-tailed bats are commonly referred to as Mastiff Bats because they are generally quite robust with long, narrow wings. Their name comes from their pointy, naked tail that extends beyond the membrane that connects the tail to the hind legs. I guess it can be kind of cute if you think about it like a puppy's tail.....

.....but I'll stick to keeping dogs instead of mastiff bats.
