The Blushing Snail (Succinea sanctaehelenae) gets its name from the rosy hue its skin and shell take on. I thought it was appropriate as this year's Valentine's Day animal because, who knows, maybe the snail actually gets its name from being frozen in a permanently embarrassed state after its boyfriend showed up at work with a huge bouquet of tulips for V-day.

    Tulips ... really?

Tulips... really? Hilarious! It truly looks like blushing. I merely love looking at it but if it's gonna crawl in my skin, that's totally goosebumps.
